The present author comprehensively analysed the features of seismicity, deep structural envi ronments, the background of geophysical fields, and the spatial distribution of oil and gas basins related to seismicity in southeastern China and adjoining seas. Some problems, such as the origins of stresses being pregnant with earthquakes and associated physical phenomena, the mechanism of seismic genesis, and the earthquake-predicting geophysical marks are discussed in this paper, based on the theories of elastodynamics...

The present author comprehensively analysed the features of seismicity, deep structural envi ronments, the background of geophysical fields, and the spatial distribution of oil and gas basins related to seismicity in southeastern China and adjoining seas. Some problems, such as the origins of stresses being pregnant with earthquakes and associated physical phenomena, the mechanism of seismic genesis, and the earthquake-predicting geophysical marks are discussed in this paper, based on the theories of elastodynamics and thermodynamics. The following conclusions are made.1. In the stndy region, there are distinct zonations and divisions of seismicity consistent with deep structures and ge(?)physical fields. The rem(?)rkable feature is that there are four seismic belts located at plate boundaries of different ages eastward from continent to ocean, i. e., Ⅰ. South-North (Longmen Mountain) strong earthqnake belt, Ⅱ. Central (Whlin Mountain) mid-weak belt, Ⅲ. Southeastern coast mid-strong belt, Ⅳ. Ryukyu trench strong belt. Mid-lower Yangtse Valley Ganjiang River Valley, a trijuctive rift system, is characterized by a trijuctive mid-weak seismic belt. The distribution of oil and gas basins in the region is controlled by the seismic belts.2. The trend of seismicity, which strengthens in belt Ⅰ and Hi(?)alaya belt and from Chuanqian area to western Pacific ocean, is controlled by the basic regime of combined tectonic processes of the Indian plate and the Pacific plate to the China plate.3. There are three kinds of local internal stress origins that controlled the pregnancy and occurrence of earthquakes against the background of regional stresses. They are level stress, σ, caused by crustal thickness inhomogeneity, vertical isostatic stress, σ_⊥, resisting isostatic deviations (△P), and thermal stress. Thermal process is the essential factor affecting geophysical anomalies caused by seismicity, and promoting the formation of oil and gas.4. The steeply sloped Moho belts (and other interfaces) and mid-crustal soften layer could be considered as a deep structural mark for being pregnant with earthquakes. The stresses and defor mations in the earth's crust, heat flow and geotemperature may be regarded as direct geophysical marks for predicting earthquakes, while geomagnetism, gravity and other physical (chemical) parameters may be regarded as indirect geophysical (geochemical) marks. In this paper the present author has emphasized the effect of thermal regime to critical theories about elastoplasticity and rheology.

Under some hypotheses, the existence and pohozeav identity of the solutions are obtained, and the structure condition of noncxistcncc of the solutions is derived.
