從交際性權力的角度分析學生譯員在展會口譯中的會話協調角色

展會口譯是學生譯員經常參與的一種口譯實踐。展會口譯屬于對話口譯,具有很高的交際性。作者在一次展會口譯實踐中遇到兩種“反常”現象:一是作者有時會剝奪展商說話的權力,阻礙展會雙方交流;二是作者的翻譯和協助有時被展商的客戶無視,并因此感到尷尬。作者對自己在展會中的會話協調角色產生了疑惑,并發現一些學生譯員也有相似的經歷和問題。本研究以交際性權力為指導,通過個案分析和調查,旨在解釋出現上述“反常”現象的原因,探究學生譯員如何在展會中更好發揮會話協調角色。個案分析從話輪轉換角度研究了作者的實踐,調查則收集了學生譯員和專業譯員的意見。文章在已有相關研究的基礎上發現,學生譯員在展會口譯中協調展會會話與具體的會話情形有關,但更深層的原因是學生譯員在展會會話中獲得了“受限的”交際性權力。如果學生譯員未能正確認識到自己的權力是有限的,就可能會出現作者遇到的“反常”情況,即剝奪展會雙方的發言權以及在被展會雙方無視時感到難堪。學生譯員能否發揮好會話協調角色,促進展會雙方交流,取決于他們對具體場景、自身“受限”的交際性權力、展會雙方的體制性權力及需求的理解,也取決于自身的口譯水平和社交能力。結合對專業譯員的采訪,...
